Titanium Medal

The wedding anniversary sites I found have run out of names. Some say the 75th anniversary doesn’t have a name, one said it goes back to the Diamond Anniversary, same as your 60th. Emeralds and Sapphires are mentioned, as are White Roses.

So a big white rose and a shiny bright teflon-clad titanium medal with diamonds, emeralds and sapphires to Mother Mary today

On the 14th July 1951 the biggest huge-est massive-est humungous-est stroke of luck to befall him in all his life befell Pieter Gerhardus Swanepoel. By far. By a very long long way the biggest.

And he didn’t realise it; still doesn’t.

This morning Mary will wake thinking, ‘I wonder how Pieter is, I hope he’s alright.’ He’ll be thinking. ‘Wonder if I should go to breakfast?’

Happy 75th wedding anniversary, Mom n Dad.

It’s amazing that your folks have cut it out for 75 years together. It’s an amazing amount of time, and your mother definitely is going to heaven. OK, cheers, Pete. Bye!

    hi
I’m doing some research on the Mahon mission based in Harrismith in the early 1900s. I was wondering if any knows of a library in the area which may hold old newspapers or written archives. Thanks
